A Felgemaker Christmas: A Virtual Organ Concert at Duluth’s Sacred Heart Music Center

November 29, 2020 @ 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Free

The Friends of the Felgemaker invite music lovers to watch a virtual concert featuring seven organists performing classic Christmas music on the historic Felgemaker pipe organ at Sacred Heart Music Center.

“A Felgemaker Christmas: A Virtual Organ Concert at Duluth’s Sacred Heart Music Center” will debut on the Sacred Heart Music Center YouTube channel at 2:30 pm Sunday, Nov. 29. Afterwards, the video will be archived and available for viewing at anytime.

To view the event go to: YouTube.com/sacredheartmusiccenterduluth.

The special concert features music performed by organists Velda Bell, Sam Black, Sam Gray, Tom Hamilton, Rachael Kresha, Karen Sande and David Tryggestad.

Like all music venues, Sacred Heart Music Center has been devasted by the COVID-19 pandemic because it can no longer host live performances, which are its main source of revenue. In an effort to remain
vibrant, Sacred Heart Music Center installed high-speed cable to improve its capacity for live streaming and other video recording projects. It also established a new YouTube channel to facilitate the
distribution of live and recorded performances. “A Felgemaker Christmas” was recorded and edited in October for presentation at this time.

Donations to support the maintenance of Sacred Heart’s Felgemaker organ are gratefully accepted and appreciated. You may give online at https://www.givemn.org/story/Pipeorganfund OR send a check to Sacred Heart Music Center, 201 West 4th St., Duluth, MN 55806. Please indicate ‘Felgemaker Pipe Organ’ in the memo line.
