MN Music Coalition 2021 Music Summit concert (live stream)

May 2 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Sacred Heart Music Center has been chosen to host (virtually) the final concert of the Minnesota Music Coalition 2021 Music Summit!
This performance is livestream ONLY and is set to take place at 7pm on Sunday, May 2 during the Duluth Homegrown Music Festival. The line-up includes singer/songwriter Cory Coffman, eerie folk group Superior Siren, and headliner AfroGeode.
The live streamed concert is free but Music Summit registration is required at:
AfroGeode is a creative music project founded by Di Jay (Diona Johnson; she/her). Her music can best be interpreted as a combination of neo soul, hip-hop and electronic, though she is multidimensional in her expression. AfroGeode is part of the DanSan Creatives collective in Duluth.
Superior Siren is an eerie folk project from Duluth. The music is inspired by Lake Superior and Siren mythology, and creates a sense of allure and danger. Superior Siren is led by singer-songwriter and guitarist Laura Sellner. In 2016 Sellner joined forces with cellist Rachel Gobin, bassist Nyssa Krause, and drummer Emma Deaner to craft a mesmerizing blend of vocals, strings, and percussion. The collective released the first full-length self-titled album in 2018, followed by a tour of the Midwestern United States. Superior Siren continues to perform solo or as a full band throughout the region, and is in production of a new album.
Cory Coffman is a Duluth songwriter, arranger & multi-instrumentalist. Blending a bohemian-punk ethos with an indie-pop sound, Cory Coffman melds his inviting voice with a musical eclecticism, giving his songs popular appeal. Presenting poetic depth and musical thoughtfulness, Coffman is witty enough to laugh with, yet endearing enough to cry to.
