Finnish folk band Frigg combines nordic folk traditions with Americana influences creating a fresh world music sound often called “nordgrass.”

Formed more than 20 years ago, the group has released 10 full-length albums and has been touring behind its 2023 release Perintö-Heritage. Frigg has toured around the world including appearances at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, Celtic Connections and Cambridge Folk Festival. It has also performed on A Prairie Home Companion with Garrison Keillor.

New Minneapolis-based Nordic folk quartet Frya will open, showcasing works connected to women musicians like Finland’s Maria Helena Spoof, Sweden’s Ida Gustafsson, and Norway’s Ingunn Bjørgo.
