Songwriters/Storytellers livestream: Boku Frequency

Longtime Duluth soul, funk and rock three-piece Boku Frequency will perform songs from their vast catalogue of original and cover songs and talk about their decades in the music business in the February installment of our “Live from The Heart: Songwriters/Storytellers Series.”

The event will be livestreamed on the Sacred Heart Music Center YouTube channel.

RT Quinlan’s co-owner Jen Tanberg will host.

Boku Frequency has performed regularly across the Twin Ports for more than two decades. Featuring guitarist Terry Gums, bassist Thomas Harris and drummer Elliot Harris, the group mixes its own original songs with covers of artist like James Brown, Jimi Hendrix, Isaac Hayes and Sly and the Family Stone. The group will talk about its songwriting process, how classic soul and funk has influenced their work and tell some stories about their time working on stage.

A limited number of studio audience tickets are available for free HERE. Please register in advance. Studio audience members are asked to arrive no later than 7:15 pm and to use the east entrance door.
