SUMMARY:Stepping Up For CHUM
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a night of music to support CHUM’s effort in building a new triage shelter in Duluth. \nCharlie Parr\, Jon Edwards\, Kaylee Matuszak\, Ross Thorn\, Sophie Hiroko and the Campfire Tranarchists are all scheduled to perform sets beginning at 7 pm Tuesday\, Nov. 26 \nCHUM’s mission statement is: “People of faith working together to provide basic necessities\, foster stable lives\, and organize for a just and compassionate community.” All ticket proceeds will go to CHUM’s “Stepping On Up” program which is trying to build a new triage shelter. With some of the recent ordinances the city of Duluth has passed it is of utmost importance to get behind and stand with the homeless community. \nE-tickets will go on sale for $25 HERE at 10 a.m. Friday\, Oct. 4. Tickets will be available at the door for $25 while supply lasts. Doors at 6 pm. Music at 7.

DESCRIPTION:Bluesman Charlie Parr is headed out on a European tour in May so before he goes Duluth wants to give him a big send off. \nCharlie is touring behind his 14th studio album “Last of the Better Days Ahead” which includes stops all over the world. Over the years\, Charlie has performed in legendary venues like Newport Folk Festival\, The Kennedy Center\, The Troubadour\, and Bowery Ballroom. But he hasn’t moved to LA or Nashville; he’s stayed in the cold grey north of Duluth\, Minnesota\, because that’s his home. \nOpening the show will be a solo performance from Minneapolis-based singer/songwriter Humbird. \nGood luck in Europe\, Charlie! We’ll be here when you get back! \nNOTICE: All concert-goers must wear a mask\, provide proof of vaccination or a recent negative COVID-19 test at the door prior to each show. Phone photos of vaccination cards will be accepted. Further precautions may be taken pending state and county health guidelines. \nTickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door.
