DESCRIPTION:Minnesota folk favorites Peter Mayer and Sara Thomsen return to share the beautiful Sacred Heart Music Center stage in this great double bill Saturday\, April 1. \nPeter Mayer has been singing and songwriting full-time for 25 years\, performing in venues across the United States and beyond. He writes songs for a small planet\, songs about life and the mysterious fact of our existence. He also writes about dress hats\, pumpkins and pajamas and other important stuff. Peter has 11 albums to his credit and recently released four new singles in the the last year. \nNorthland singer-songwriter Sara Thomsen has released six solo albums including her latest “Song Like a Seed.” She is artist director and member of “Three Altos” and is the founder and artistic director of the Echos for Peace Choir. Her music has been compared to Joan Baez\, Pete Seeger and Holly Near\, filled with passion for love\, life\, nature and human rights. \nPeter and Sara will perform solo sets and play together on a few choice songs as well in this one-night-only show. \nE-Tickets are available HERE for $20. DESCRIPTION:Dan Israel is a longtime fixture on the Minneapolis music scene and performs all over Minnesota both solo and with his band. \nHe has been called “the hardest working singer-songwriter in Minnesota” and will perform both new material and old favorites with his band in this one-night-only concert. \nIsrael won Song of the Year (for “Come to Me”) in the 2005 Minnesota Music Awards and Songwriter of the Year in the 2006 MMA’s. DESCRIPTION:Alberto del Toro is the new solo project recently launched by A Winter Downpour frontman and Duluth singer songwriter Alberto Serrano Rivera. A Spanish language project\, Alberto del Toro takes inspiration from both post- punk/rock and from the music Rivera heard growing up in Puerto Rico\, including romantica\, salsa and merengue. KQDS radio disc jockey Chris Allen will host this live stream only event beginning at 7:30pm Thursday\, April 27 on the Sacred Heart Music Center YouTube Channel. \nA limited number of studio audience tickets are available for free. Please register in advance HERE. Studio audience members are asked to arrive no later than 7:15 pm and use the east entrance door.
