SUMMARY:Jennifer Grimm & Leslie Vincent: An Evening of Jazz\, R&B and Pop
DESCRIPTION:Twin Cities-based vocalists and songwriters Jennifer Grimm and Leslie Vincent will perform an evening of jazz\, R&B\, and pop tunes\, alongside guitarist Joe Cruz and pianist Ted Godbout. The group will perform original work\, favorites off their respective records\, and familiar tunes\, with a few surprises along the way. \nDon’t miss this special event on the beautiful Sacred Heart altar stage at 7 pm Saturday\, Feb. 10. \nJennifer Grimm is a nationally acclaimed vocalist and songwriter with credits including performing at New York’s Carnegie Hall\, scoring hits internationally and having her music featured on networks such as NBC\, USA\, and SHOWTIME. \nLeslie Vincent is a prolific songwriter and jazz vocalist\, equally at home singing the Great American Songbook\, musical theater\, and contemporary rock and pop. In 2023 she released her sophomore album About Last Night\, featuring mixing jazz standards\, vintage blues\, and her own fresh originals. \nJoe Cruz has developed a vast array of styles over his 40 year career. He plays anything from solo acoustic guitar to swinging with a jazz combo and picking mandolin in a bluegrass band or exploring his Latin roots on Cuban trés and Puerto Rican cuatro. \nTed Godbout is a pianist\, composer\, and educator based in Minneapolis. He has performed with such notable artists and groups as Art Webb\, Mark Colby\, and the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra. \nE-tickets go on sale at 10am\, Friday\, Dec. 29 HERE. Paper tickets will be available at Globe News in Superior and Zenith Bookstore in West Duluth. Tickets will also be available at the door. Doors at 6pm. Music at 7.

DESCRIPTION:Advance e-tickets are sold out. Advance paper tickets are available at Zenith Bookstore in West Duluth and Globe News in Superior. There will be 50 tickets available at the door while supply lasts. Door tickets will go on sale at 6:30 pm. \nDuluth-based Superior Siren returns to the beautiful Sacred Heart altar stage for another enchanting Valentine’s Day evening performance. \nInspired by Lake Superior and Siren mythology\, Superior Siren performs an alluring & dangerous expression of vulnerability & desire. \nThe group is led by singer-songwriter and guitarist Laura Sellner. In 2014\, Sellner debuted her captivating vocals and heartfelt lyricism with the solo EP ‘Lotus in the Muck’. In 2016 she joined forces with cellist Rachel Gobin\, bassist Nyssa Krause\, and drummer Emma Deaner to craft a mesmerizing blend of strings and percussion. The all-female band released the full-length album ‘Superior Siren‘ in 2018. In 2021\, Superior Siren released a solo EP titled ‘Kill Your Darlings’. \nSuperior Siren continues to perform as a solo or full band act\, and is currently in production of the next full-length album. \nIndie electronic duo embalmingEva will open. \nE-tickets go on sale at 10am\, Friday\, Dec. 29 HERE.
