DESCRIPTION:Becky Schlegel performs original Minnesota music\, drawing on the influence of classic country\, bluegrass\, folk\, and a unique thoughtful spirit. Schlegel’s incredible voice floats\, whispers and soars above music of the highest quality. She takes listeners on a musical journey\, exploring new places and meeting new people in every song.  \nBecky Schlegel and The 48s will perform live and in-person on the Sacred Heart Music Center altar stage at 7:30 pm\, Saturday\, June 3. Duluth-based Americana songwriter Breanne Marie will open. \nSchlegel has performed on the Prairie Home Companion with Garrison Keillor and the Woodsongs Old-Time Radio Hour\, is a 2016 inductee into the Legends of South Dakota Country Music Association\, a Minnesota Music Awards recipient and MBOTMA’s Favorite Band/Vocalist 25th Anniversary Award Recipient. She is also a five-time IBMA Songwriter Showcase Participant. \nThe 48s include fiddler Eric Christopher\, bassist Rich Casey\, guitarist Clint Birtzer and banjo player Anthony Ihrig. \nE-Tickets will be available for $20 on Eventbrite HERE beginning at 10am Friday\, April 28. Paper tickets will be available at Globe News in Superior and Zenith Bookstore in West Duluth. Tickets will be available at the door for $25 while supply lasts. Doors at 6:30pm. Music at 7:30. \n
