DESCRIPTION:Join us for an unforgettable evening as Duluth-raised\, Minneapolis-based\, indie-folk harpist Nikki Lemire performs for the first time as a solo artist in her hometown at 7:30 pm Friday\, October 18. \nLemire will share an innovative blend of classical\, folk\, and contemporary sounds\, featuring songs from her recently released debut album\, Live at Lakewood. \nAn accomplished harpist and vocalist\, Lemire has spent the past few years diving into the world of songwriting\, emerging with songs that delve into her experiences with love\, loss\, and motherhood. With her classical mastery of the harp\, combined with a modern sense of exploration through loops and electric pedals\, Lemire has garnered widespread praise and radio play\, solidifying her as a rising star in the indie-folk scene. \nJoining Lemire on this night are Chippewa Valley-based indie-pop artist The Nunnery (Sarah Elstran) and Minneapolis-based singer-songwriter Sarah Morris. \nThis event is part of Lemire’s Northern Minnesota tour\, which includes stops in Aitkin\, Grand Rapids\, and Henning. \nAdvance tickets are available on Eventbrite HERE for $20 (plus fees). Advance paper tickets are available for $20 (plus fees) at Zenith Bookstore in West Duluth and Globe News in Superior. Tickets will be available at the door for $25 while supply lasts.
