AfroGeode: Songwriters/Storytellers live stream

February 7 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Free

Duluth-based soul queen AfroGeode is the next featured artist on our Songwriters/Storytellers Series live streamed at 7pm Tuesday, Feb. 7 on the Sacred Heart Music Center YouTube channel. A small number of free studio audience tickets will be available for this performance.

AfroGeode is a creative music project founded by Di Jay (Diona Johnson; she/they). AfroGeode’s music can best be interpreted as a combination of neo-soul and hip-hop, though she is multidimensional and experiments with jazz and blues. Collaborator Courtney Ellian will perform on the piano.

Host of The Current’s Duluth Local Show Brittany Lind will talk with both artists about their work and life in music.

Funding provided by a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board.

A limited number of FREE studio audience tickets are available on Eventbrite. Audience members should arrive no later then 6:45pm and use the east door to access the music center.
