Rolling Stones keyboardist Chuck Leavell returns to Sacred Heart Music Center to celebrate the recent PBS broadcast of “America’s Forests with Chuck Leavell: Minnesota.”

Leavell filmed the Minnesota episode of America’s Forests last winter which included a performance of Bob Dylan’s “Like A Rolling Stone” with Big Wave Dave and the Ripples at Sacred Heart.

The episode is currently airing nationwide on PBS and the America’s Forest with Chuck Leavell website.

This special event will kickoff with Leavell and Big Wave Dave and the Ripples performing an opening song. A Fireside Chat discussing northern Minnesota forestry issues will follow.

The evening will be highlighted by a special version of the award-winning film “Chuck Leavell: Treeman“ by filmmaker Allen Farst and a screening of the America’s Forests Minnesota episode: Highway 61 Reforested, which was filmed in Duluth and along Minnesota’s north shore.

Leavell and Big Wave Dave and the Ripples will close the event with another song on the beautiful Sacred Heart Music Center stage.

America’s Forests with Chuck Leavell captures the breadth of our nation’s woodlands – both public and private. The series features different stories that demonstrate how vital forest habitats are to the well-being and economic health of communities across the country. The series highlights individuals who embody this passion for the woods, from architects to artists, from climbers to carpenters.

A limited amount of tickets for the public are $10 and will be available ON-LINE ONLY at the Sacred Heart Music Center Eventbrite site HERE. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday, March 20. Tickets will NOT be available at the door. Doors at 5:30 pm. Event at 6.
