Billy McLaughlin/Michael Gulezian
April 13 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm$25 – $30
Finger-style acoustic guitarists Billy McLaughlin and Michael Gulezian will share the Sacred Heart stage for this rare, one-night-only, double-bill at 7:30 pm Thursday, April 13.
For decades, Billy McLaughlin astounded audiences around the world with his complex and rhythmic acoustic guitar music.
At the height of his international recording and touring career, Billy was diagnosed with Focal Dystonia, a mysterious and yet-to-be-cured neuromuscular disorder that rendered him unable to play. But Billy did the unthinkable: He learned to play his complex music with the opposite hand. Now a Minnesota music treasure, McLaughlin continues to create his own original work and shine a light on the classics.
Michael Gulezian is one of the most highly acclaimed solo acoustic instrumental guitarists of our time. He’s a phenomenal technical guitarist with the rare ability to transcend his own virtuosity, creating music that touches and moves people at the deepest level. He is often compared to musicians such as Leo Kottke and Michael Hedges – guitarists who amaze us with what ten fingers and one guitar can do.
E-Tickets are available for $25 HERE. Paper tickets are available at Globe News in Superior and Zenith Bookstore in West Duluth. Tickets will be available at the door for $30 while supply lasts. Doors at 6:30pm. Music at 7:30.
